Uniforms: Passing On the Cost - The Maryland Guide to Wage Payment and Employment Standards

Generally, the cost of providing and maintaining a uniform which bears the name or logo of the employer may be passed on to an employee through a wage deduction -- with the employee's signed written authorization. However, an employee may be held responsible for the depreciated value of the uniform if it is not returned as required.
