Office of Small Business Regulatory Assistance (OSBRA)

The Office of Small Business Regulatory Assistance (OSBRA) helps Maryland business owners find timely and effective solutions to issues, so they can go about running their companies. We want Maryland businesses to thrive and grow, and to succeed in an environment of trust and cooperation. If you have a problem or issue, come to us. We are open for business.

As a liaison for businesses, economic development organizations, and federal, state, and local government, our office:

  • assists businesses with compliance to and adoption of regulations, such as the Maryland Healthy Working Families Act, commonly referred to as Sick and Safe Leave;
  • facilitates responsiveness of state government to small business needs; and
  • serves as a central clearinghouse of information for business assistance programs and services available in the state.

We’re committed to Maryland’s businesses and constituents, and will help resolve problems, address concerns, move through regulations and compliance procedures, remove barriers, provide resources, and connect with other state agencies while providing timely, effective customer service.

We are your point of contact for small businesses in the state of Maryland, and we will advocate on your behalf.
