Renew or Reinstate Your License - Real Estate Commission

RENEW a current license online

Broker renewal applicants must submit a full credit report, including the public record section before applications can be approved. Credit reports shall not be older than six months. Fax to 410-333-0023, e-mail to dlmrecbrokercr-labor@maryland.gov or submit your documents securely online.

Reinstatement (means the license was not renewed before expiration):
A licensee may reinstate an expired license without re-examination for up to three years from the last valid expiration date, subject to:

  1. compliance with applicable CE requirements for the period of non-licensure;
  2. payment of all past due renewal fees; and
  3. payment of a reinstatement fee of $150.

REINSTATE Your License Online (if you are within two years of the last valid expiration date)

If you are unable to reinstate electronically but still within three years of the last valid expiration date, contact the Commission for a mail-in reinstatement application. Your request must be received at least 30 days before expiration of the three-year licensing period.

A license that is expired for more than three years cannot be reinstated by paying back fees and continuing education. Contact the Commission for current education and exam requirements.
