Renew and Reinstate Your License - Maryland Real Estate Commission

Broker renewal applicants must submit credit report before application. Fax to (410) 333-0023 or email to Charlene Faison.

Reinstatement (means the license was not renewed before expiration).
A licensee may reinstate an expired license without re-examination for up to 3 years from the last valid expiration date, subject to (1) compliance with applicable CE requirements for period of non-licensure; (2) payment of all past due renewal fees; and (3) payment of a reinstatement fee of $150.

Reinstate Your License Online (if you are within 2 years of the last valid expiration date)

If you are unable to reinstate electronically but still within 3 years of the last valid expiration date, contact the Commission for a mail-in reinstatement application. Your request must be received at least 30 days before expiration of the 3-year licensing period.

A license which is expired for more than 3 years cannot be reinstated by paying back fees and continuing education. Contact the Commission for current education and exam requirements.
