Name/Address Changes - Maryland Board of Architects

Each licensee or firm is responsible for promptly notifying the Board of any name or address changes. Failure to do so may result in not receiving license renewal notices late renewal fee charges.
ADDRESS CHANGES
You can make interim changes to your street address, e-mail address or phone number
- ONLINE using your registration number and password.

NAME CHANGES
Individual licensees must submit copies of the appropriate documents (court order, marriage license)
to the Board. Please contact the Board office at 410-230-6261, or architect@dllr.state.md.us
for details.
Firms must apply for a NEW permit through the normal process if
the firm has become a new entity with new directors, officers and federal ID number.
If the directors, officers and federal ID number have not changed, the name can be changed by submitting
the following documentation:
- Written statement signed by the President, that the directors, officers and federal ID number have not
changed.
- Certificate of Good Standing from the Maryland
Department of Assessments and Taxation or the chartering authority of the state of formation showing
the new name.
