To obtain an original license in Maryland, an applicant must meet all statutory eligibility and training requirements, including minimum age and education criteria, completion of an approved training or apprenticeship program, and completion of the required domestic violence awareness training. To obtain an original Master Barber license, an individual must hold an active Barber license for a minimum of 15 months and successfully pass a 100-question theory examination.
