2025 NCARB Annual Meeting - Architects

Members of the State Board and staff participated in the 2025 NCARB Annual Meeting held from June 19 - 21 in Scottsdale, Arizona. During the meeting, the Board voted on resolutions aimed at expanding international reciprocity, including new mutual agreements with Canada and South Africa. They also addressed key competencies of practice, alternate pathways to licensure, elected new directors to the NCARB board, and established the council’s agenda for the coming year.

Congratulations to Stephanie V. Hopkins of Baltimore, Maryland, the 2025 NCARB President’s Medalist for distinguished service to the profession. Currently, she serves on NCARB’s Board as the Public Director. During NCARB's Annual Meeting, she was re-elected to serve on the Council’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Hopkins also served as a dedicated Consumer Member on the Maryland State Board of Architects from 2014 to 2024.
