Background

On August 14, 2012, the Commissioner of Labor and Industry adopted new Regulations .01 - .07 under a new chapter, COMAR 09.12.28 Tree Care and Removal. This action, which was proposed for adoption in 39:13 Md. R. 791-797 (June 29, 2012), has been adopted as proposed. This regulation became effective on September 3, 2012.

Action

  1. MOSH compliance personnel shall enforce these new regulations relating to tree care and removal.
  2. MOSH Compliance and Consultation Supervisors shall ensure that training sessions are conducted on the contents of this notice.
