Complaints - Secondhand Precious Metal Objects Dealers & Pawnbrokers

Consumer complaints against pawnbrokers and secondhand precious metal object dealers should be directed to the local business permit or pawn/property crimes units of the local police departments. If investigations by the local agencies suggests that Maryland’s pawn or secondhand precious metal objects law have been violated, the complaint will be referred to the Department. The Department will evaluate the police reports to determine if administrative action is warranted against the licensed dealer.
