CT Adds New Private Education Loan Creditor Registration to NMLS March 1, 2024Posted 3/1/2024 Starting on March 1, NMLS will receive new application filings for the Connecticut Department of Banking's Private Education Loan Creditor Registration. New applicants will be able to submit these records through NMLS starting on March 1, 2024. Click here for more information.
LA Adds New Private Education Lender to NMLS January 1, 2024Posted 2/26/2024 Starting on January 1, NMLS will receive new application filings for the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions Private Education Lender.

Minnesota Money Transmission Modernization ActPosted 2/26/2024 On May 24, 2023, Governor Tim Walz signed Minnesota Session Law 2023, Chapter 57, Senate File 2744 into law, which included the Minnesota version of the Money Transmission Modernization Act (MTMA).
