NOTE: The Board may grant a waiver of examination (application for licensure by reciprocity) only if the state in which you are licensed waives the examination requirement for Maryland licensees to a similar extent that Maryland waives examination requirements for individuals licensed in that state. In order to complete the licensing process, please contact the licensing agency in the state from which you are applying and have them forward a “certification of licensure” directly to the Board. The certification must document that the applicant holds a current active license, the category of licensure and the passage of a written examination, and the education and experience requirements which were met to qualify for examination.
You should apply for the Maryland license category whose requirements most closely match the requirements you met in the state from which you are applying. If the Board determines that you are eligible for a different Grade, you will be so advised.
