January 6, 2017 - Laurel Park RULINGS:
#17-001 Trainer, John B. Secor, is fined One Hundred dollars ($100.) for, failure to follow licensing procedures
, by not obtaining an owners license for Marie Maelfait, owner of “Allezcome”, who was allowed to run, at Laurel Park, on November 5, 2016.
Mr. Secor accepted responsibility of this licensing procedure by signing the affidavit permitting this entry to race.

January 19, 2017 - Laurel Park
#17-002 Trainer, Miguel Penaloza, is fined One Hundred dollars ($100.) for, failure to follow licensing procedures, by not obtaining an owners license for Kim Laudati, owner of “Buckleberry Grey”, who was allowed to run, at Laurel Park, on November 28, 2016.
Mr. Penaloza accepted responsibility of this licensing procedure by signing the affidavit permitting this entry to race.

#17-003 Owner, Inmer Barrientos, is fined one hundred ($100.) for creating a fire hazard
in a dormitory room, and causing the alarm to go off.

#17-004 In the matter of commission employee, Patricia Correri, subject of Stewards Ruling #16-142, dated September 16, 2016.

On January 19, 2017, Patricia Correri appeared before the Stewards upon the request of HCP Coordinator Jessica Hammond, for consideration of reinstatement to good standing. The HCP coordinator provided the results of drug tests and an evaluation from Adult Personal & Career Counseling indicating that Ms. Correri is presently drug free and not a detriment to the best interests of racing. She recommended that she be reinstated to good standing and permitted to return to work subject to the following stipulation:

  1. That Ms. Correri continue in counselling with Mrs. Hammond.
  2. That at the Stewards discretion she submit to drug testing by the HCP Coordinator, the Stewards, or their designated representative. [COMAR 09.10.03.05.] .

In light of the above, the Stewards hereby order that Patricia Correri be reinstated to good standing subject to the above-stated stipulations.

#17-005 Trainer, H. Graham Motion, fined two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) for failure to
report the proper gender
of his entry “Hard Catch” that ran on January 28, 2017.
