The Licensing of Secondhand Precious Metal Objects Dealers and
Pawnbrokers investigates complaints from consumers concerning
service provided concerning services provided by secondhand
precious metal object dealers and pawnbrokers. Upon evidence
of a willful and deliberate violation of the Secondhand
Precious Metal Object Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act, the Secretary
may reprimand, suspend, revoke and or fine a licensee or
permit holder. The Secretary, however, does not have the
authority to order monetary awards to consumers.
