Check the license status of CPAs in the United States, Washington, DC,
Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Changes in the Maryland Public Accountancy Act permit individuals, who are licensed as certified public accountants in other states, to offer and provide services to clients in Maryland without having to obtain a license from the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy.
This means that the Board may not be able provide license information about CPAs who come to Maryland to seek your business. As a service to consumers,
the Board has provided links to all of the state boards of accountancy, most of which have online license search databases. Use the interactive map to look up and verify the license status of CPAs who seek your
business. View the text version.
