Changes to Your Examination Appointment - CPA Examination - Public Accountancy

After you have made an appointment for an examination section, you may find it necessary to change or cancel an appointment. Be aware that you may be required to pay a penalty or forfeit your examination fees, depending on when you notify Prometric of the change or cancellation. Please refer to the current Exam Candidate Bulletin for information about changing or cancelling appointments.

Test Center Closings

If severe weather or other local emergency requires a test center to be closed, every attempt will be made to contact you. However, if you are unsure if your test center is open on the day of your examination, you may call the local test center directly. If the center is open, it is your responsibility to keep the appointment.

If the center is closed, you will be given the opportunity to reschedule without penalty. If you are unable to contact the local test center, check on the Prometric website, or call the Candidate Services Call Center at 1-800-580-9648, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
