This application is designed for use AFTER you have
completed the process of applying for your new license or
your transition/renewal on the NMLS. It will enable you
to perform functions that NMLS is unable to accommodate
due to the difficulties of transitioning from Maryland's
prior system of two year licensing with staggered expirations
to the new NMOS system of annual licensing with fixed December
31 expirations. You will need your NMLS number to complete
this process. Also, please wait 24-48 hours AFTER completion
of your NMLS submission before proceeding to allow Maryland to download your information.
Loan Originators - if you are:
Transitioning / renewing your EXISTING license, you need to use this application to (1) complete the employment sponsorship portion of the licensing process (as your sponsor may not have transitioned to
NMLS) and (2) pay your pro-rated license fee (as NMLS does not have the functionality to pro-rate fees).
Applying for a NEW license, you need to use this application only to complete the employment sponsorship portion of the licensing process (as your sponsor may not have transitioned to
NMLS). Your full payment has been made through the NMLS.
Maryland Mortgage Lenders (Branch or Main Office) if you are:
Transitioning / Renewing your EXISTING license, you need to use this application to pay your pro-rated license fee (as NMLS does not have the functionality to pro-rate fees).
Applying for a NEW license, you do not need to use this application.
