NOTICE TO INTERIM MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR LICENSE APPLICANTS
FINAL DEADLINE TO SUBMIT MISSING DOCUMENTS—NOVEMBER 30, 2009

Please be advised that the Commissioner will extend the period to complete interim mortgage loan originator license applications by submitting employment statements and affidavits until November 30, 2009.

AFTER NOVEMBER 30, 2009, if you have failed to complete your interim mortgage loan originator application by submitting your employment statement and affidavit, your application will be deemed not to have been timely filed to qualify for an interim license.  You will be processed as a new applicant and required to meet all licensing requirements accordingly.    


ADVISORY REGARDING INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS

If you have applied for a Maryland Mortgage Loan Originator or Mortgage Lender license and it is incomplete for at least 60 days, the Commissioner may cease processing the incomplete application and return it to the applicant.

There after to obtain a license, you would have to reapply on the NMLS, repay the fees and submit all the necessary documents on the checklist, before a decision could be made on your application. Please note: Maryland license fees are refundable, but the Maryland investigation fee and the NMLS fees are not refundable.


LICENSE FEE UPDATE
1 YEAR FEES BEGINNING DECEMBER 1, 2009

Beginning December 1, 2009, all Maryland Mortgage Lender and Maryland Mortgage Originator applications for NEW licenses submitted through the NMLS will be assessed a ONE YEAR FEE only. All approved licenses will expire in December 31, 2010.
