Technology Innovations

  • Developed a CD ROM tutorial that simulated the Internet for inmates who have no access and who return to their communities with no knowledge of how to access information. The interactive CD Rom - Discovering the Internet@ Your Library, highlights public libraries as free sources of information. The CD ROM was copyrighted to the Maryland State Department of Education and nationwide, prison program providers request this one of a kind tutorial. In 2003 Glennor received the Al Maresh Award for excellence in computer-assisted technology for the CD ROM.
  • Initiated the development of a website for the MD Correctional Education Libraries.
  • Spearheaded the publication of the online Directory of State Prison Librarians.

  • Initiated the program Family Literacy @ Your Library in 2003 at the Maryland House of Corrections. This encourages inmates and caregivers to read with and to their children
